Research

I used studies conducted by mental and emotional health institutes to develop interview questions, which were then used to conduct user interviews. Most interview participants and their parents reported a desire to better understand emotions and how to deal with them in a healthy manner. The feedback received through research made it very clear that users would be open and willing to work towards better mental and emotional health practices if they had access to an easy-to-use tool to help guide them.

Solution

Character Driven
Zenji is an app centered around a cute and interesting animal character that is relatable, comfortable and keeps children engaged. Zenji helps make unfamiliar feelings and situations much easier to digest and conquer.
Fun and Engaging

Zenji approaches emotional learning using activities, games, songs and stories. Children will not feel like they are taking another class, but will learn so much as they complete professional/expert approved activities.
Professionally Vetted

All of the stories, activities, games and songs are professional vetted. Zenji, although fun, does not take emotional learning lightly. Users can feel at ease knowing that every facet of the app has been reviewed and approved by professionals who work with children.
